Not so long ago, Nokia released new phones in collaboration with Microsoft – Lumia 710 and Lumia 800, running on Windows 7. Pretty impressive move by Nokia.

That’s not all folks.  2011/2012 is a tablet season. Next to iPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab and Android tablet, a new one is gong to be ‘unleashed’: Nokia and Microsoft continue their cooperation. With Dell, HP and Samsung also rumored to be working on their Windows 8 tablets and ultra-books, it seems that Microsoft now has the support of every major hardware manufacturer for the much awaited Windows 8, which will be launched in 2012.

Nokia Tablet

“In June 2012 we will have a tablet running Windows 8,” said Paul Amsellem, the head of Nokia France.

Given the depth of that relationship, a tablet would be a logical next step, according to Ben Wood, director of research at CCS Insight.

He likely referenced the Lumia 800 as a BMW 5, and the Lumia 710 as the BMW 3. The BMW 7 is presumably going to be the Lumia 900. Nokia has already launched the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710. I guess Mercedes drivers won’t buy Nokia phones anymore..

Rumor has it that its next Windows Phone device will be the Lumia 900, which will have a 4.3 inch ClearBlack AMOLED display, an 8 MP camera, and a 1.4 GHz processor with 16 or 32 GB of internal storage. It is expected to be launched in Q1 2012.
