The Detroit exhibitionLove Is Art Project” will be presented with Toyota as the title sponsor. The exhibition is a charitable one-night art event that will be held on Saturday, November 19, with its goal to promote human rights and equality. It will take place at the College for Creative Studies, A. Alfred Taubman Center, Detroit with curators Angel Antonio Ojeda and Jeremy Brown. The two of them have chosen 20 abstract paintings by 20 local couples that should indicate love’s ability to transcend human discrimination- racism, sexism or prejudice about sexual orientation.

Art pieces will be put up for silent auction that should raise money for the Human Rights Campaign. The “Love Is Art Project” will take a tour across the USA, and it will be held in 12 cities, such as Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Every guest of the “Toyota Love Is Art Project” must be at least 21 years and looking chic for the cocktail night. Besides the art exhibition, Toyota will display a number of its vehicles and prepare luxury evenings for all visitors.

The “Love Is Art” was founded by South African-born Jeremy Brown. He has been collaborating with evolution media group founder, Angel Antonio Ojeda and his colleague at Six Degrees Media and 944 Media. You can follow this project on their Facebook page and their web site. I really appreciate all people who organize these kind of events and projects where it’s shown that art is strong enough to help humanity.

At the online store, people can buy a “Love Is Art Kit” that comes “with everything you need to safely create a one of a kind, tangible piece of abstract expressionistic art while being intimate with the one you love”. Besides Toyota as a title sponsor there will be other sponsorships such as the Blue Nectar Tequila, Grey Goose vodka, Quicken Loans, Henry Ford Health System, MotorCity Casino Hotel and Ambassador Magazine. The next event like this one will be held on December 10 in Atlanta and it will be supported by Lexus
