A well-known Instagram user from day one, Mercedes-Benz has decided to promote their new campaign for the CLA class via this social network. It was only a year ago that Mercedes posted their very first photo to Instagram.
Interestingly enough, Mercedes-Benz has been active in promoting new, innovative campaigns that bring fresh tastes to German car manufacturing. With a distinct and artsy approach, Mercedes-Benz reached 100,000 followers on Instagram about a month ago, which speaks loudly to brands’ social media involvement and their dedication to attracting prospective followers.
#Untamed is different from other social media campaigns in its representation of a natural, rather than artificial, set of photos. Coincidentally, that is the same philosophy that follows the 2013 CLA: unconventional, unusual and untamed.
Anders Sundt Jensen, Head of Brand Communications for Mercedes-Benz, noted that the campaign’s main idea is to inspire the creativity and uniqueness of users, beckoning them to post photos that are anything but average: “We are absolutely thrilled by the creativity shown by internet users in interpreting the idea behind the online campaign.”
As part of the launch of the new Mercedes-Benz CLA, the brand has also opened an #Untamed Photo Exhibit, a digital photo showcase of hundreds of Instagram users’ pictures.
