Have you even been in such a hurry that you had to make a call, or even text someone while driving? Sure you have, but according to Volkswagen’s latest print campaign that’s a big “no-no”.

During the past decade, governments from all over the world have updated the laws regarding mobile phone usage in traffic, but it seems that isn’t enough as great number of mobile phone-related accidents still happen all over the world. A conscientious car brand, Volkswagen recognized this as a good place to begin with campaigning about traffic safety, so they’ve created simple, but grim posters in cooperation with Ogilvy & Mather Cape Town, which show the beginnings of template messages using iPhone auto-correction feature.

Bold and courageous campaigns are Volkswagen’s specialty and this one might remind you of one of the greatest print campaigns ever from the middle of the 20th century – Volkswagen’s “Think Small”. As for this campaign, the message stands clear: Always remember not to text and drive – ever.
