This past month has definitely been marked by new logos; There was the question of wether Google is redesigning its logo, Yahoo! debuted its updated look, and YouTube went with a new flat icon, but now Vanity Fair magazine celebrated their 100th anniversary with a new logo on the cover page. The new logo now replaces its sans serif letters with serif ones.

Model Kate Upton had the honor to appear on the front page of this anniversary edition. Famous photographer Annie Leibovitz captured her blowing out a birthday candle, in the same pose that was on the first Dress & Vanity Fair cover, back in October, 1913.

Vanity Fair’s editor, Graydon Carter commented: “In an age when nothing seems to last—not convictions, not even cities—a centennial, like the one Vanity Fair celebrates this year, makes me marvel at the simple fact of longevity”.
