PepsiCo annouced a new 250ml can for Pepsi, Pepsi Max and Diet Pepsi brands in the UK and is considering doing the same with Tango and 7UP next year.

The need for even smaller cans come from a research made by Britvic. It has revelead that customers, particulary women, prefer smaller cans than regular. Cans are offered in a various range of multipacks – from 10 do 36 and will bu supported by in-store and point-of-sale marketing activity and also a various range of promotional material ranging from print to web media.

Noel Clarke, brand controller at Britvic, said:
“Our new 250ml multipack range will provide value to consumers by giving them more cans per pack and ensuring that we continue to grow the category even further.”

Let’s hope that Pepsi knows this time what is doing – in recent years it kinda lost it’s branding track with numerous ‘rebrandings’ and ‘reinventions’, trying really hard to compete with Coca-Cola.
