We love when big companies like Colgate think outside of the box–or rather inside. A trial campaign by Colgate took advantage of Myanmar’s recently opened borders and decided to educate the importance of oral care to schools in villages where media is limited or non-existent.
Rather than throwing away the boxes used to deliver toothpaste cartons, Colgate designed posters on the inside. After being delivered, village store owners would take these empty boxes to their local schools. The design focuses on traditional and local Burmese illustration styles such as vibrant colors and characters. These posters also include interactive lesson plans with a toll-free number enabling teachers to call and receive more information regarding oral care. The trial proved successful, even inspiring, and Colgate plans to bring the initiative to the rest of the country.
